Excavators bring soil into the creek crossing to provide a temporary work area.

The work area will be used by a drill rig that will install the bridge supports.

The temporary work area is complete.

Surveyors mark the exact locations of the bridge supports in preparation of drilling.

The drill rig arrives at the site.

The drilling crew prepares the equipment.

Twelve vertical holes will be drilled to support the bridge over Carpinteria Creek.

The huge drill bits that will be used to carve through the rocky native soils of this region.
