Major construction at the Bliss Project is complete. A severe fish passage barrier has been successfully removed
and replaced with a bridge. The creek channel has been restored and now allows steelhead trout to access the Carpinteria Creek watershed. Over the next several months, tree-planting and finishing touches will be completed.
Before: The Arizona crossing blocked fish passage, and led to worsening erosion
and scouring at the downstream end. This site had been one of the keystone barriers in the creek.
